Judge Janet Rath Colaluca was appointed by Governor Kasich to the bench of Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court-Division of Domestic Relations in December of 2012.
Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Rath Colaluca served the Domestic Relations Court as a Magistrate for nine (9) years where she presided over contested matters arising in the context of pending and post-decree cases.
Judge Rath Colaluca also served as a Magistrate in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court for three (3) years and as a Magistrate in the Mayor's Court in the Village of Bratenahl for five (5) years.
While not serving as a full-time Magistrate, Judge Rath Colaluca also maintained a private practice concentrating in the practice of Family Law.
Judge Rath Colaluca was admitted to the Bar in 1991. Judge Rath Colaluca received a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University and her Juris Doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Judge Rath Colaluca brings her vast experience as a Magistrate in both the Domestic Relations an Juvenile Courts as well her practical knowledge garnered as a private practitioner to the Bench.
Judge Rath Colaluca is a member of the Domestic Relations Procedure Committee of the Ohio Judicial Conference.
