Chief Magistrate Ann Weatherhead did her undergraduate work at Yale and graduated from Case Law School. While in private practice she chaired the Board of Directors of Women Together, a shelter for battered women. She also served on Judge Ronald Adrine’s Domestic Violence Task Force.
After joining the Court she served as a Trustee of Ohio Association of Magistrates and chaired its Domestic Relations practice group. In 2007 she was awarded the OAM’s Education Award, and in 2011 she was awarded the OAM’s first President’s Award for establishing a program where magistrates volunteer in the communities where their Spring and Fall Conferences are held.
She is the author of the chapter on spousal support in Baldwin’s Ohio Practice, Sowald and Morganstern, Domestic Relations Law, which she updates annually. She also hosted a weekly radio show, “Annie Plays the Blues for Me” on WRUW, 91.1 FM for 19 years.
