Announcement Court Adopts Amendment to Local Rule of Practice 30 Registration of a Foreign Parenting Decree or Order for Enforcement and/or Modification under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA), R.C. 3127.3127.01-3127.53. The rule was modified to clarify that registration of a foreign custody, parenting time or companionship order does not necessarily vest the court with jurisdiction to enforce or modify the order. It also clarifies that a petition to register a foreign support order must be filed as a separate action, and revises statutory references in accordance with current law.
