On June 21, 2018, Chief Magistrate Ann Weatherhead gave a presentation on spousal support to the Family Law Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Among the topics which audience members discussed with Magistrate Weatherhead were the changes in the treatment of spousal support under the new tax law, the enforceability in domestic relations court of the affidavit a person signs to sponsor an immigrant to the U.S., and why it matters that temporary support orders are interlocutory.
