Judge Colleen Ann Reali was elected to the Domestic Relations Court and began serving her term on January 8, 2021.  She has been practicing law in Ohio for over 20 years.  She served as a Magistrate for Judge Francine Goldberg in Domestic Relations Court for 6 years just prior to her election to the bench.  Prior to her time as a Magistrate, she had the great honor of serving our community as an Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor for 14 years where she was a member of the Major Trial Unit, prosecuting some of the most serious and complex cases in the county.  The judge is a trained family law mediator and has judicial case management training through the National Center for State Courts.  She volunteers and is on the board of many local organizations in our community, including The Father Welsh Academy, The Mayo Society of Cleveland, Little Brothers and Sisters of the Eucharist, The Irish American Archives Society, the YMCA and 3R’s. She is a member of the William K. Thomas Inns of Court. The Judge graded the Ohio Bar Exam for years and has guest lectured on topics including judicial case management, marriage equality and Domestic Violence protection orders.  The Judge is the child of immigrants and grew up in Cleveland’s West Park neighborhood. She attended Magnificat High School, Fordham University where she received her B.A. and St. John’s University School of Law where she received her J.D.
