Rule 25: Posting of Notices for Service by Publication

Pursuant to Ohio Civil Rule 4.4 (A)(2), in divorce, annulment, and legal separation actions, if the residence of the defendant is unknown, service by publication shall be made by posting and mail in accordance with the procedure set forth in the rule.
Posting shall be made in a conspicuous place in the courthouses in which the general and domestic relations divisions of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas are located as well as in the following two additional public places: The Clerk of Courts Branch Title Office located at 20820 Southgate Park Blvd. Maple Heights, Ohio 44137 and the Clerk of Courts Branch Title Office located at 5743 Chevrolet Blvd. Parma, Ohio 44130.
